What we Believe

BIBLICAL STATEMENT OF FAITH FOR THE JESUS CELEBRATION

Bible: We believe the Bible to be the complete Word of God; that the sixty-six books, as originally written, comprising the Old and New Testaments were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit of God and were entirely free from error; that the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice and the true basis of Christian union.  2Tim 3:16-17

The Triune Godhead: We believe in one God, Creator of all, holy, sovereign, who exists in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.                                          Deut 6:4; Gen 1:1; Mat 28:19; Gen 1:26; 2 Cor 13:14

Father: We believe in The Father, infinite, eternal and unchangeable in all His attributes.                                                                                                                                                Jn 4:24; Mal 3:6; 1 Tim 1:17; Ps 90:2; Num 23:19; Jas 1:17 

Son: We believe in the absolute and essential deity of Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son; in His eternal existence with The Father in pre-incarnate glory; in His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension, mediatorial ministry and glorious personal return.                                                                           Jn 1:1; 10:38; 14:9-24; 17; Is 7:14; Heb 7:26; I Cor 15: 3-4; Gal 4:4; Acts 1:11; I Tim 3:16

Holy Spirit: We believe in the Holy Spirit who with The Father and The Son is worthy of our worship; who convicts the world of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness and judgment; who makes the death of Christ effective to sinners, enabling them to turn to God in repentance and directing their trust towards the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe He is present within all believers, sanctifying us and making us partakers in Christ’s risen life, pointing us to Jesus, and leading us into all truth.                                  Jn 3:5-8; 14:15-17

The Devil: We believe that Satan exists as an evil personality, the originator of sin, and the archenemy of God and man.                                                                                    Gen 3: 1-5; 1 Pet 5:8; Rev 12: 9; 20:2

Man: We believe that man was divinely created in the image of God; that he sinned, becoming guilty before God, resulting in total depravity, thereby incurring physical and spiritual death.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Rom 3:9-23; 5:12 Eph 2:1-3             

Salvation: We believe that we are saved by faith alone, through God’s grace alone. That Jesus is the once and for all sacrifice for sins by dying on the cross for our sins, rising 3 days later in triumph over death.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Rom 5:1-2

Marriage & Sexuality: We believe, as God teaches in His Holy Word, that He has ordained marriage to be between man & woman only; that sex outside of marriage is sin; and that homosexual sex is sin.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Gen 1:26-28; 2:18-25; Lev. 18:20-22; 20:10-27; Rom. 1:16-22

Future Things: We believe in the personal, bodily &  glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the bodily resurrection of the just & the unjust; the eternal blessedness of the redeemed & the judgment and conscious, eternal punishment of the wicked.                                                                                                                                                        Acts 2:10-11; Mat 16:27; 24:36-44; 25:31-46

Our Mission Through this Jesus Celebration is Worship Service & Family Festival, to come together in such unity as Brothers & Sisters in Christ to Glorify the Lord God Almighty by proclaiming His Name throughout our City.

1. To Worship our Lord beyond the walls of our Church buildings.
2. To Preach His Word to Believers and to Unbelievers.
3. To Highlight Christian ministries.
4. To have a Truly Family Friendly Festival Day that is Christ Centered.
